Who is Daniel Clemente?

Comedy Magician and Ventriloquist Daniel Clemente has been entertaining audiences for years.  When Daniel was just 7 years old, his parents took him to Las Vegas, NV, where he was introduced to his first magic shop.  His parents bought him several fun and easy to learn tricks that to this day, he still holds in his possession.  That ignited the fire that would pave the way for years to come learning and perfecting his magical skill.

 

Daniel at a young age would perform for family and friends all the time, either it be at family parties or at school.

 

Over the years, Daniel had finally decided to make this a professional career and set out to make performing professionally a big part of his life.  Daniel now performs all over the Central Pennsylvania Area, performing at hundreds of parties and events every year.

 

Daniel also ventured into the very difficult art of ventriloquism, which is the art of “throwing one's voice” to give puppets their own life and persona.

  • Do you use any live animals?

    I do not use any live animals. I’ve always wanted to use a bunny in my show. It’s a classic of magic, and they’re so cute! But, there are several reasons why, in the end, I choose not to use one: allergies, safety, and the well-being of the bunny being just a few. I don’t want to bring anything into your home that could cause a health concern for any of your guests.

  • How much space is needed to set up your show? Indoors or Outdoors?

    Indoors is generally the most preferred set-up location, as it allows for a more controlled environment, and subsequently, a better performance and more focused audience. My performance and equipment have been designed to be adaptable to a variety of performing situations. I realize every setting is different, and it is my goal to provide minimum disruption in performing at your residence or other venue. Generally, an area about 10′ x 10′ is ideal with an area in front of that for audience seating. Nothing in the show is messy, can spill, or involves fire which could damage your home. I can perform outdoors, in your backyard, park, or other area, weather permitting.  Shows booked outdoors are subject to a 50% non-refundable retainer fee.

     

    NOTE: The backdrop can only be used for indoor performances, and needs a height of at least 7’5″.  The backdrop is 10′ across.

  • What is your policy for Outdoor Shows in the event of rain?

    Any shows booked in an outside venue will be subject to a 50% non-refundable retainer fee.  If the event is rained out or not able to be performed, the retainer fee can be applied to a future event.  Any questions regarding outdoor events, please contact Daniel at 717-826-1549.

  • Can you really keep the kids entertained the entire time?

    Yes, that is why you want to hire an experienced professional. I know exactly how to maintain control of the audience, keep their attention, and make sure they are entertained the entire time. I know exactly what works and have the skills and experience to keep any group of kids no matter what the age group or how excited they are–entertained and amazed.

  • What needs to be provided for the show?

    I arrive completely self-contained. I bring all the tables and other equipment necessary for the show. Electricity is required, due to the show having music and sound equipment!

  • How long does it take you to setup and break down?

    Generally, I arrive at your party about 25-30 minutes prior to the scheduled show-time for set up of the show and equipment. At the conclusion of the show, it takes about 15-20 minutes to pack up.

  • How is payment handled? Is it okay to pay by check? Credit cards?  Is a deposit required?

    You may pay by cash, check, or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express), whichever you prefer. No advance deposit is required. Payment in full is made the day of the performance.  A non-refundable retainer fee of 50% of the total show amount will be taken for any events booked in an outdoor venue.

  • Is tipping necessary?

    Tipping is at your discretion if you feel that you received value above and beyond your expectations. I guarantee the same level of quality and professionalism regardless.

  • May we videotape and/or take pictures?

    Yes, of course!!  There are plenty of great photo and video opportunities during the show.  Many priceless memories can be captured!

  • How long should the party be? When should the show be?

    On average, most birthdays I attend are scheduled for 2-3 hours. This allows for enough time to watch the show, sing Happy Birthday, open presents and perhaps play a quick game or two. I suggest that you allow 20-30 minutes margin at the beginning of the party for late arrivals. For example, if your party begins at 3:00 PM, I would recommend scheduling the show for 3:30 PM in order to allow for late guests to not miss the beginning of the performance.

  • What is the cancellation policy?

    You may cancel your performance up to two weeks before the performance date with no penalty. If the show is canceled with less than two weeks’ notice, you will be responsible for payment of the fee in full, although this may be applied to a future party. Please note that any risk of bad weather for outdoor events is borne entirely by the client, and that cancellations due to bad weather are subject to losing the 50% non-refundable retainer fee. If you are planning an outdoor party, an alternate indoor location is highly recommended.
